Olivia Newton-John Died Two Years Ago — Now Her Husband Breaks His Silence

“Every Morning, I Still Talk to Her,” Says John Easterling

Two years have passed since the world lost Olivia Newton-John, the radiant voice and soul behind “Hopelessly Devoted to You” and “Physical.” Yet the pain of her loss still echoes deeply — none more than in the heart of her husband, John Easterling, who has finally broken his silence in a moving and emotional tribute that left fans around the world in tears.

Olivia passed away on August 8, 2022, at her beloved California ranch after a courageous, decades-long battle with breast cancer. She was 73. Known not only as a music and film legend, but also as a humanitarian and wellness advocate, Olivia faced her illness with grace, humor, and unshakable faith.

Now, on the second anniversary of her death, Easterling has opened up about what life has been like without her — and the spiritual bond that continues to guide him every day.

“She’s Still Here With Me”

In a heartfelt interview, Easterling confessed that not a day goes by without speaking to his late wife. “Every morning, I still say ‘Good morning, Livvy,’” he shared softly. “I feel her presence — in the garden, in the music, in the light that fills this home. It’s as if she never truly left.”

The couple married in 2008 and shared a deep connection rooted in nature, healing, and spirituality. Easterling, a plant-medicine entrepreneur, said their love was “beyond physical,” describing Olivia as “a healer who carried light even through pain.”

He revealed that in her final weeks, Olivia was calm and surrounded by love. “She told me, ‘When you feel the sun on your face, that’s me. When you hear the wind, that’s me too.’ I still live by those words.”

A Legacy of Hope and Healing

Beyond her chart-topping hits and iconic role as Sandy in Grease, Olivia devoted much of her later life to raising cancer-research awareness. Her Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre in Melbourne continues her mission to bring comfort, care, and innovation to others fighting the same battle she endured.

Easterling confirmed that he remains closely involved with the foundation. “It’s what she wanted — to turn her pain into purpose,” he said. “Her dream was to make sure no one felt alone.”

Friends say Olivia’s daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, has also found solace in carrying her mother’s message forward, recently performing her song “Window in the Wall” as a tribute.

“Love Doesn’t End — It Evolves”

When asked how he copes with her absence, Easterling paused, then smiled faintly. “Love doesn’t end when someone dies,” he said. “It evolves. I see her in everything beautiful — the ocean, the laughter of friends, the music she left behind.”

For millions of fans, his words serve as both heartbreak and healing — a reminder that Olivia Newton-John’s spirit is still alive in every lyric, every cause she championed, and every soul she touched.

As Easterling concluded, “The world may have lost Olivia Newton-John, but heaven gained the brightest light.”
